Learning outcomes
The course is oriented to the knowledge of current problems of Czech politics related to (post) modern trends in the development of public policy, including the development of the institutional framework and organizations that provide it.Upon completion of this course, students will be able to understand and interpret current relevant issues, they will be able to identify them on the basis of relevant political and sociological theory as well as knowledge of related legislation and social problems. The course will begin with an explanation of the methodological framework of the analysis of Czech policy (Drulák etc.), then the legislative process of the Czech Republic will be explained consistently and on the basis of concrete examples. These may include issues such as policy transparency (see register of contracts; amendment to electoral laws, etc.), greater participation of citizens in social processes (see, for example, the Building Act) or responses to better employment policies.
