Learning outcomes |
The course is intended to strenghten orientation in some topics of contemporary ethics. Students will go through the basic ethical issues and will get a lot of information from the history and the present state of the discipline. The purpose of the course is not only to introduce basic ethical theories and solutions to fundamental ethical issues, but also to show the ambiguity of such solutions and problem of adoption of any ethical system. The course is prepared in English in the form of e-learning in system Moodle.
Knowledge of basic ethical theories, the ability to formulate pros and cons of each theory. Obtaining greater sensitivity in dealing with ethically questionable situations and greater sensitivity to discern them in everyday life. Gaining knowledge of several specialty areas of ethics, eg. The problem of the person and the status of the embryo and mastering the basic argument of various ideological groups. Ability to formulate "for" and "against." Acquiring the skills to work independently with prepared texts and presentations. Improve the ability of self-study and self-replenishing and information retrieval. |

Very good knowledge of English. High level of written and oral expression in English.

Assessment methods and criteria |

The course in English is intended primarily for foreign Erasmus students. It is not scheduled and it has been prepared in the moodle system. Students interested in completing the course contact the teacher by email at the beginning of the semester. Written test in English (evaluation system: max. points 20, 0-16 failed, 16-20 passed) Seminar work in English in the range of 5-6 standard pages on a topic related to the subject. |
