The course will be focused on a brief historical development of the political system of Germany, more precisely both Republics of Germany up to their reunification in 1990. Subsequently, the specifics of the political and party system in Germany will be presented, the structure of state and local government, electoral system and the German political culture will be taken into consideration. The course will be also focused on the current development of German politics.
Student will get acquainted with the subject matter, be able to analyze and interpret partial phenomena and the more general context and in the long term characteristic features of the topic in the studied countries and regions. |

Essay. Requirements: o proper preparation for lectures / seminars, i.e. regular and thoroughgoing reading of literature for a particular week, active participation in the discussion; o seminar work: it will be worked out according to the requirements of scientific text (it will be specified in the seminars) and handed in no later than the last teaching day of the term (it will be also specified). For each day of delay, the number of pages will increase of two pages. It will not be possible to pass the exam if the work is not finished. |
