Course content
1. Definition of Terms extremism, radicalism, totality and authority 2. The basic political ideology, ideological triangle 3. The French Revolution, J.J. Rousseau 4. Roots activism and the collapse of traditional society. 5. Anti-Semitism and its roots 6. Racism and its manifestations in Europe 7. Nationalism, its origin, evolution and formation 8. Fascism and National Socialism 9. Marxism, socialism, communism 10. Anarchism 11 The establishment of communist and fascist regimes, World War II 12 Situation after the war, the formation of neo-fascism and neo-Nazism 13 Euro-communism

Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce the current so-called extremist scene, right and left, to highlight its emergence and development in the history of the French Revolution to the present, including a link to the totalitarian and authoritarian regimes.
Student gains the following expertise: - Learn to understand the political spectrum, including its extremes - Learn to identify the basic attributes of the various ideologies, including extreme - Acquire a basic overview of the key concepts and theories of racism, anti-Semitism and nationalism - Able to distinguish between Nazism and Fascism, respectively. Neo-Fascism and neo-Nazism - Able to distinguish between the different currents within Marxism and anarchism
