Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce the students to the concept of second order elections, including application to the selected elections in selected European countries. Attention will be given to the elections to the European Parliament and the selected elections at lower levels of government - regional, regional elections, etc.
After completing the course, students are able to interpret the concept of second order elections and the specifics of the European Parliament elections. Moreover, students are able to analyze the results of the election in a multilevel structure of specific countries. Students are able to explain the specifics of subordinate election (municipal, regional, Senate, European) in the environment of the Czech political system.
