Learning outcomes
According to project Communitas pro praxis - Partnership for Training (Education for Competitiveness OP, duration of the project from 1 August 2011 till 31 July 2014) within the activity of KA 2 "Cooperation of Philosophical Faculty UJEP with self-administration" (Regional Authority of the Usti Region) is set that in 2nd and 3rd year of execution of a project will ten students be doing an internship at the Regional Authority of the Usti Region as the case may be at an institution provided by the Ragional Authority. E-learning programme "Public Administration: The Role of Civil Service Organizations in Society" will be prepared for students. The main aim of the learning programme is to show students the functioning of present model of public administration, primarily local self-government. The emphasis will be put on introducing of individual bodies of public administration, their structure and authority. Students will be supported with e-learning study support while doing the educational programme, and they will have the opportunity to get to know functional performance of local self-government as a part of the internship at Regional Authority of the Usti Region.
Student will gain basic theoretical knowledge about public administration and practical knowledge about functioning of local self-government in different spheres of administrative activities.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in the field of constitutional law, structure and similarity of public administration and public institutions. According to the fact that the class is directly connected with the realization of the project Communitas pro praxis, the class is restricted to academic years 2012/2013 and 2013/2014. According to the project, only ten students may participate in the class each term.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student should get pieces of knowledge about the function of local government, performance and authority of their bodies, and adopt knowledge about structure of system of public administration. After finishing the internship, student will write paper about his/her experience in extent of 10 pages. He/She will gain credits after handing in the written paper.
