1. Introduction to the seminar, familiarization with the course, formulation of partial tasks. 2. Presentation of bachelor thesis topics (topic, sources, literature, method, thesis structure, problems). 3. The nature of the professional text, its principles, types and requirements 4. Qualifying thesis as a specific type of professional text (main principles, components, typical shortcomings). 5. Bachelor thesis - analysis of specific examples (examples of "bad and good" examples, typical problems). 6. Presentation of the results of professional work (principles, requirements, resources, typical shortcomings). 7. Principles of professional speaking (principles and means of presentation, typical shortcomings). 8. Presentation of bachelor thesis as a specific type of professional speech. 9.-10. Practical practice of the defence, evaluation, discussion)

Learning outcomes
|
The main aim of the course is to lead students to the successful completion and defence of their bachelor thesis. The course aims to provide students with as much support as possible for the task at hand, while at the same time partially checking and correcting their progress. The course itself is implemented in three specific levels. Within this framework, the course will first focus students' attention on the issue of the professional (historical) text, in the context of which the structure and nature of the individual parts of the bachelor's thesis will be discussed in more general terms. In addition to the general characteristics, critical work with specific materials in the form of different types (and levels) of professional texts and selected examples of already completed qualifying work will be an essential part of the course. Students will thus become familiar in considerable detail with the content, methods, literature and source criticism in the recommended studies and model bachelor theses. Another part of the course will be oriented towards direct support of the completion of the Bachelor's thesis. The basis for this stage will be individual and group tutorials and discussion blocks in which students will present the results of their research work and the problems that had to be overcome. They evaluate the work of their colleagues through discussion, thus verifying the quality and relevance of the results achieved and the way they were formulated. The last area, which is implemented within the course, focuses exclusively on the preparation of the actual defence of the qualification thesis, or more generally the spoken form of presentation of the results of professional research activities. Here the student should obtain a suitable basis for the presentation and quality formulation of the overall concept of his/her research performance, his/her own methodology of processing and, above all, the significance of the results achieved. Within the framework of repeated model discussion over the results of his/her own qualification work and the work of his/her fellow students, the student should acquire the general principles and principles of conducting a professional debate, he/she should be prepared not only to defend the results of his/her research performance, but also to lead and direct the discussion.
The student will acquire the following competencies:- Reflect the principles and principles of written professional historical text in a broad framework, and be able to respect these principles at least at a basic level and use them in a functional way in the production of their own professional text. - master and use a wide range of content and formal requirements that are specifically related to the formulation of a historically oriented professional text (work with professional literature, its evaluation, citation of sources and literature, etc.) - is aware of the ethical principles of scientific work in the field and has the basic skills of professional speaking (especially the content and preparation of materials in the form of a functional presentation)

The basis for the award of credit is mainly active participation in the course (attendance with a maximum of 3 absences, participation in the discussion). Completion of continuous assignments (evaluation of samples of professional text, model bachelor theses, presentations, ability to lead a discussion).
