Bourgeoisies, urban population, culture 7. States - nobility, education, church, rural population 8. Comparison of Prussian and Bavarian development 9. Princes of the Reich ruling also outside the RGN, the Hanoverian-British personal union and the "middle" states 10. Prusso-Austrian dualism 11. Influence of the French Revolution 12. Learning outcomes
The lecture will focus on the political, economic, social and cultural history of the German lands in the 18th century with a special focus on the Holy Roman Empire of the German nation, the history of Prussia and only partially the history of the Danube monarchy.
Students acquire knowledge of the history of the German lands of the 18th century; they are familiar with the latest results of historical research in the political, economic and cultural dimensions; deepen argumentation skills during discussions; we support transdisciplinary knowledge of history, history of culture and music, etc.
