Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present students with development of brewing in the territory of the lands of Bohemian Crown. Emphasis will be placed on its development from the 18 to 20 century. Some specifics associated with this industry will be also pointed out.
Students understand history and period context of brewing in the lands of Bohemian Crown. They are able to define major stages of development in history of brewing. They have knowledge of basic reference literature on the period. They demonstrate the ability of critical interpretation of historical materials and understand the role and meaning of this craftsman and later industrial branch. They are able to present acquired knowledge through texts and discuss about them.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student must complete at least 70% of the lectures. In addition, ideally actively participate in the discussion and demonstrate their knowledge in a shor paper (3NS) on the selected topic.
