Course content
1. Characteristics of a thesis, examples of good and bad practices. 2. Presentation of individual topics by students (topic, sources, literature, method, structure of the thesis) 3. Presentation of individual topics by students (topic, sources, literature, method, structure of the thesis) 4. Preparation for the thesis defense. 5. Practical defense training, evaluation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enable ongoing consultation, discussion of the topics of individual theses, and review in the final stage of thesis preparation, which should contribute to the creation of optimal conditions for the production of high-quality final theses. During the seminar, students present their methodological approaches, interim results, and conclusions. An important part of the course is also preparation for the defense. At the end of the seminar, there is preparation for the defense, in which students present their work (sources used, research intent, results, etc.). In order to create space for the creation of final theses, teaching is concentrated into blocks, with the rest of the teaching time devoted to individual consultations and available to students for the preparation of their final theses.
The student is able to discuss current issues related to the creation of their thesis. They are able to present their methodological outputs, interim results, and conclusions of their work. They are able to defend their conclusions.
Prerequisites
Submitting a thesis to the STAG information system.

Assessment methods and criteria

Presentation of the thesis proposal, methodological approach, and concept of the thesis; review of the schedule for completing the final version of the thesis; regular consultations with the thesis supervisor. Credit requirement: recommendation and approval of the supervisor based on a review of the progress of the thesis.
