Learning outcomes
The course will deepen the expert specialization of the student in the field of tangible cultural heritage. Each lecture block is oriented to special problems of art development in Europe, they complement and specify the basic course of history of art. The course features solitaire lectures of teachers of the History department who are specialized in given topics. The course guarantor is professor Royt who in this course speaks about the issue of Medieval art, mainly painting. Docent Michaela Ottová will speak about Medieval sculpture, Middle Age and Early Modern Age context of development of architecture will be the topic of lectures of Petr Macek. Question of Baroque art will be presented by Doctor Jakub Pátek, Doctor Milan Kreuzzieger will lecture of development of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
The student will understand the succession of the domestic and European art evolution, he will be able to recognize and classify specific works and their creators into European context. The student will also learn the scientific literature and will be able to work with other information sources that are at hand.
