Learning outcomes
|
Basic information about the structure of museology, including professional terminology and an overview of the history of museology in the Czech lands, will be provided. During the presentation, increased emphasis will be placed on the inclusion of museology in the system of sciences that deal with the field of cultural heritage. In theoretical museology, the presentation will focus on the generalization of the principles of museology. In individual chapters on museography, students will be introduced to the basic issues of practical activities in contemporary museology. The final presentation is devoted to the applications of museology to individual field specializations.
Student se orientuje v principech péče o sbírky v rámci kulturních institucí typu muzeum, zná základní problematiku praktických činností v současném muzejnictví, orientuje se v základních oborových specializacích.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student will prepare a professional text on current issues of museology according to the assigned topic in the range of 5-10 standard pages. After fulfilling this obligation, the student will take an oral interview to verify his/her acquired knowledge.
