Course content
1. Introductory lesson, introduction to the conditions and course of the course, introduction to the topic of small monuments, basic literature, dates of fieldwork. 2. Sources and literature. 3. Iconography and forms of small monuments. 4. Sets of small monuments (calvaries, pilgrimage sites), monuments in the landscape. 5. Presentation of small monuments. 6. Methods of documentation, heuristics. Inventories of monuments, map documentation, other sources in examples (theory). 7. Field recording, measuring and drawing documentation in examples (theory). 8. Photographic documentation, post-processing in examples (theory) 9. Field survey, monument location (field practice). 10. Monument description, field recording (field practice). 11. Basic measurement documentation, teamwork (field practice). 12. Photographic documentation and drawing (field practice). 13. Documentation processing. 14. Course evaluation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the types of small monuments and their function in the landscape. Another aim of the course is to familiarize students with basic documentation methods and procedures in the documentation of small monuments in the landscape and with the creation of outputs of this documentation.
The student is oriented in the issue of typology of small monuments and their iconography, knows the basic procedures of their documentation and is able to create basic documentation. The focus is on the perception of monuments in the context of landscape, time and other monuments. At the same time, the student is familiar with the basic source base for the history of minor monuments and the professional literature on the subject.
