Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the historical development of the field of Christian iconography and with the fundamental areas of iconographic topics, both theoretical and applied. The emphasis is on the Czech and Centra European environment. The topics are chosen so that the knowledge and skills can be actually used in future practice. Practical introduction to a wide range of iconographic handbooks and lexicons is also part of the teaching.
The graduate demonstrates a good orientation in the problems of Christian iconography. (S)he is able to distinguish its individual branches and characterize their basic specifics. The student is able to identify the most important figures and themes and emonstrates knowledge of specialist literature, especially iconographic handbooks and lexicons. |
