This course introduces students to the development of art history from the late 18th century to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Attention is paid to individual artistic movements and important personalities of the period. The course includes a visit to an exhibition, permanent exposition or cultural monument.
Course graduates gain knowledge about the development of art in the 19th century. They are able to identify and date important works of art and buildings. They have a grasp of issues relating to individual art movements, schools and centres. |
