Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with both the theoretical and, above all, the practical basics of digital photography and digital video. The course is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part will focus on learning the basic issues of photography and video - the history of photography, the general definition of photography and video, technical parameters and possible uses of the necessary technology, the structure and composition of the image, image composition, and an introduction to basic editing programs.
Graduates of the course will be able to master the acquisition and subsequent processing of photographic images and audiovisual works. Given the focus of the course, they can use the information and skills acquired in the documentation of tangible cultural heritage. The acquired knowledge can be used especially in the field of monument care, museum or archival practice, in the visual documentation of tangible and written monuments. They can also use their skills for ongoing documentation and subsequent presentation of the results of a partial study or scientific task. They can also use the skills achieved in recording the testimonies of witnesses of significant events.
