Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the development of the Jewish population in the territory of the Czech Crown. Emphasis will be placed primarily on its development from the 18th to the 20th century. Some specific features associated with this ethnic group will also be highlighted.
Students will learn about the history of the Jewish population in our country. They are able to name the key events associated with this ethnic group and are familiar with the view of Czech society towards it. At the same time, the course leads them to analyze anti-Semitic writings and interpret them using critical thinking.

To successfully complete the course, the student must demonstrate elementary knowledge of sources on the given topic. Furthermore, they must prepare a short paper on the chosen topic. The main criteria for evaluating the paper are the presence of critical thinking and the quality of the comparative method.
