Learning outcomes
With help of all available resources ( including verified internet ones) the course which is a follow-up of the course of ASH I aims to inform students about development of other auxiliary sciences of history, the sciences, which study other resources not only strictly those of official character in European context. These are mainly codicology, epigraphy, genealogy, heraldry, emblematics, vexilology, faleristics and historical metrology, their methods of research and present state of research with emphasis on applicability of these disciplines in today sciential society.
In continuation of previous course student gets knowledge of methodological and methodical problems of other so called auxiliary sciences of history such as codicology, epigraphy, genealogy, heraldry, emblematics, vexilology, faleristics and historical metrology. Except the last discipline where its research activities can be framed by the turn of the 19th and 20th century and codicology where its research methods are usually applied on work with manuscripts, most of the disciplines find their use easily in today society. Thatś why we emphasise that students obtain information about rules and possible application of methods of these disciplines with regard to newly forming resources .
