Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic mechanisms of cultural heritage management from the perspective of practitioners. Students have the opportunity, through practical demonstrations, to try out basic official and professional procedures regularly used in practice. The practical demonstrations also show the application of theories and their advantages and disadvantages for the current field of cultural heritage management and care. The lectures also include practical excursions to gain an understanding of these procedures in real areas and museums.
The student extends knowledge they have acquired in some of the previous courses. They acquire new competences in practical areas of cultural heritage care, and new knowledge and skills in its management, registration and presentation. They acquire a clear idea of the day-to-day work of employees of museums, regional authorities and municipal authorities.
