Learning outcomes
The aim of institutional practice is to enable students to get to know the working environment of their chosen professional institution, its system and working procedures. This opportunity not only appropriately expands the theoretical knowledge acquired during the studies, but should also improve the graduate's future employability. With regard to the focus of the programme, it is assumed that the student will complete the internship at the partner workplaces of the National Heritage Institute (Ústí nad Labem, Liberec, Loket or the workplaces of the Institute of Archaeology). In individual cases, it is also possible to complete the internship at other professional workplaces, in accordance with the topics of the qualification work (e.g. museum institutions, archaeological institutions, specialized companies, etc.).
The student has a concrete idea of the functioning of the chosen institution and knowledge of the specific job description of its employees. Based on this, they can then better consider their future professional career. His/her professional knowledge and competences will also be enhanced, enriched by theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of conservation or museology (depending on the choice of institution).
