The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of the development of the history of European and Czech visual arts from the beginning of the 17th century to the end of the Baroque period. Emphasis is placed on the overall historical context, selected artistic personalities, and individual important sites and cultural centres.
The graduate demonstrates knowledge of the development of artistic creation from the beginnings of the Baroque style to its end. The student is able to identify and date important works of art and historical buildings, and is oriented to the problems of individual schools, artistic centres and important personalities. The student has an overview of the basic titles of domestic and foreign literature. |
