Course content
|
Content of the course will be concretely adapted to types of resources which students will choose for their theses. Main emphasis will be placed on stages of every scientific work starting with heuristics and application of appropriate methodology for assessment of a resource in all required historical and historiographic contexts.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to present students with a wide range of resources on the period of Early Modern Times and Modern Times usable for students´ final thesis. The stress is placed on responsible selection of a resource or resources and their interpretation in respective historiographic context. Nonetheless students also need to have knowledge of methodology of diplomatics and paleography if they should work successfully on their selected theme.
Ability of independent critical work with resources and their interpretation in wide historical contexts.

Continuous communication with a teacher carried out through communication forum. At the end of the course students will be asked to produce an essay.
