Course content
-Current legislation in archives and records management - the amendment of the Act on archives valid since the 1 july 2012 - Act No. 167/2012 Coll. and a new Regulation on the Details of Records Service Performance valid since the 1 August 2012 - Decree No. 259/2012 Coll. -Legislation related to archives and records management (laws on electronic signatures, the data boxes , etc.). -New Terminology in the records service performance (so-called type files, handling lists etc.) -Definition of public and private legal agents and their responsibilities in the area of document management -Particular stages at records management - reception, labeling, registration, distribution and circulation of documents , handling and others), including electronic records management and integration of primary e-documents in the current office agenda -Principles of creation of a file in present days and use of a reference number ( distinction from file number ) and PID -Characteristics of electronic documents and their verification means (electronic signature , electronic sign, time stamp ) -Methods of accredited document conversion -National Standard for Electronic Records Service Systems ( with changes effective from the 1 July 2012) and its relationship to international standards, especially MoReq 2 -Basic requirements for the establishment of a qualified records service system in various organizations and the formation of Codes of Archiving Rules -Registries and electronic registries (location and equipment of registriesor and so called administrative archives) -State control, offenses, sanctions

Learning outcomes
The aim is to familiarize students using all available sources, including a number of relevant Internet ones, with current developments of records service (or qualified document management) which can be characterized by massive use of electronic documents in all areas of contemporary administration. Introduction to principles of electronic records service and integration of electronic document itself to everyday office agenda and to document management. Outlining the nature of so-called hybrid office agenda, characteristic for the current stage of e-Government, e-Justice and other spheres of state management (including private business sector). Adopting new legislation in this area - Act No. 499/2004 Coll.as subsequently ammended - with later regulations since the 1 July 2012) and Regulation No. 259/2012 Coll., valid since the 1 August 2012
Student will have the basic idea of the methodological and methodical problems in the process of records management, which stand at the base of work of all public institutions and corporations in the Czech Republic. During the process is thus created a natural basis (after selection within the shredding procedure) for subsequent formation of archival collections as a part of the national cultural heritage. In connection with the previously acquired knowledge of the historical development of records management students will have essential knowledge of new legislation regulating the area of document management in the Czech Republic and about qualified use of electronic document at all levels of office work. (all in a broader international context).
