Course content
The teaching of the course in the combined form summarizes these topics in individual teaching blocks: 1. Definition of the area, basic geographical information, Regional topographical, tourist and local history literature. 2. 2. Monuments of the region of Northwest Bohemia and Saxony 3. Seminar projects 4. Excursions Within the framework of self-study, students deal with the topics included in the compulsory literature and especially in the course outline, tasks assigned in the attendance part of the course or in the Moodle learning system, as well as on the basis of individual consultations with the teacher realized also through the communication forum in Moodle or other electronic form.

Learning outcomes
Within the course, students will learn in detail about the region of Northwest Bohemia and its monuments, as well as its natural attractions and overall tourist potential. In the spirit of this course, the region of Northwest Bohemia is not only defined by the territory of today's Ústí nad Labem Region, but also includes the adjacent areas of the Karlovy Vary and Liberec Regions. Attention will be focused on tourist attractive sites, but in addition to this, attention will also be paid to previously neglected sites with the potential for future use in the presentation of cultural heritage. The graduates of the course will gain a general overview of the cultural and historical face of the region and competence in the preparation of their own thematic excursion projects.
Graduates have knowledge of the historical and cultural development of the Ústí nad Labem region and neighbouring areas of Saxony. They are oriented in the basic geographical division of the area of interest. They are competent to design their own thematic programmes and excursions focusing on the cultural heritage of the region, including cross-border activities.
