Course content
The teaching of the course in the combined form summarizes these topics in individual teaching blocks: 1. Photographic documentation of tangible cultural heritage 2. Fundamentals of digital photography 2. 3. introduction to documentation techniques, demonstration of work with editing programs. 4. Digital video processing 5. Practical demonstrations of audiovisual forms of cultural heritage documentation Within the framework of self-study, students deal with the topics included in the compulsory literature and especially in the course outline, tasks assigned in the full-time part of the course or in the Moodle learning system, as well as on the basis of individual consultations with the teacher realized in full-time, on-line (blue.ujep.cz) or by correspondence (e-mail).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to both the theoretical and practical basics of digital photography and digital video. The course is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part will be focused on understanding the basic issues of photography and video - history of photography, general definition of photography and video, technical parameters and possible use of the necessary equipment, image construction and composition, image composition, introduction of basic editing programs.
Graduates of the course will be able to manage the acquisition and subsequent processing of photographic images and audiovisual works. Due to the focus of the course, they can use the acquired information and skills in the documentation of tangible cultural heritage. The acquired knowledge can be used especially in the field of conservation, museum or archival practice, in the visual documentation of material and written heritage. They can also use their skills for the ongoing documentation and subsequent presentation of the results of a partial study or scientific task. They can also use the skills they have acquired to record the testimonies of witnesses of significant events.
