Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course Principles of Academic Writing is to prepare students for independent creative professional work in master's studies, especially in the writing of diploma theses. In the seminars, sample scientific texts will be analysed, especially in the field of German studies, and work procedures and practical skills will be practiced. In the case of sample texts and in the writing of their own texts, attention will be paid especially to the construction and division of the text, the specifics of professional style, argumentation and formal aspects, search options, citations and compilation issues.
Thanks to this seminar, students will be prepared for independent creative professional work, especially in the writing of diploma theses. They will be able to analyse scientific texts in the field of German studies and will master the basic working procedures and practical skills needed for independent creative professional work.
