Course content
1. Definition of used terminology, acquaintance with current German textbooks for Czech schools 2. - 3. Factors influencing learning - emotions, climate in the group, climate in the classroom 4. - 5. Classification of learning styles - auditory, visual, kinetic-motor, communicative 6. Autonomous learning - conscious language learning, leading students to independent learning - individualization 7. Foreign language learning strategies - cognitive, metacognitive, and affective learning strategies 8. Internal differentiation - elaboration of a topic in a model textbook as a task for internal differentiation 9. Organizational forms of teaching - frontal, group, cooperative teaching in the system of lessons 10. Evaluation as a form of evaluation - self-evaluation, positive correction 11. Multilingualism - the role of the first language for learning foreign languages, German as a second foreign language, the acquisition of other languages 12. Course evaluation

Learning outcomes
Following the course Selected Chapters from the Didactics of German 1, the aim of this course is to deepen and anchor theoretical themes, reflect on the learning process itself and apply theoretical knowledge in the form of micro-teaching. Within this course, students will prepare a simulation of a lesson (unit) according to the chosen topic, goal and target group. Emphasis is placed on the connection of lingvodidactic theory with teaching practice in the relevant type of schools, as well as on the development of skills in the preparation, implementation and subsequent evaluation (reflection) of the teaching unit.
Students will get an overview of current topics in didactics of the German language Based on the analysis of video demonstrations, examples from teaching practice and their own microteaching, students will acquire the skill of practically applying selected topics within pedagogical practice.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars, study of compulsory literature, fulfilment of partial tasks and elaboration of written documentation for simulation of the lesson (protocol of the teaching unit, teaching materials, exercises and tasks and others) are expected for the credit. The student presents the simulation of the lesson (microteaching) within the credit colloquium.
