Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is practicing writing skills in various formats. Writing skills will be deepened and expanded by writing on topics relevant for the field of study as well as on general social topics. The course will further focus on orthography, grammatical accuracy, the choice of appropriate language tools, and its proper structuring. In individual writing formats, attention will be paid to their different function with regard to the message and the addressee.
The student knows how to use the language means typical for various writing formats including academic writing; uses proper grammar structures for academic German; knows the principles of structuring a text; can use the acquired theoretical knowledge and skills in practice, and writes in an academic style.
