Course content
|
The extension course will focus on the work of the Austrian author of Czech origin Michael Stavarich in its genre diversity - from exxays, poetry and novels to his work for children and youth. The emphasis will be placed not only on the diversity of genres, but also on the diversity of language, which is a result of his multilingualism, which is strongly reflected in his texts.

The aim of this literary seminar is to broaden students knowledge of contemporary German-language literature from the perspective of Czech-German relations and with a focus on intercultural aspects. The emphasis will be on developing analytical thinking in the intepretation of literary works in oral and written form based on the study of secondary literature.
Students will deepen their knowledge of contemporary German-language literature and be able to analyse and interpret specific literary works with regard to the specifics of the genre and cultural and historical context on the basis of an independent study of primary and secondary literature.
