Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of this course unit is to familiarize the students with German phraseology, especially idiomatic expressions at the background of the phraseology of the mother tongue, and to provide them with selected linguistic and intercultural aspects of the research of phraseological units of contemporary German and Czech with parallel accentuation of equivalence, similarity and contrastivity criteria. The course focuses not only on the Czech-German perspective but also takes into account the wider European intercultural context (the so-called European phraseological internationalisms).
The student masters theoretical basics of phraseology and is able to explain selected linguistic and intercultural aspects of phraseological units in German and Czech.
