Learning outcomes
The course first focuses on deepening the knowledge necessary for the analysis and interpretation of literary texts at the master's level (literary scientific concepts, genre issues). The course builds on the course "Cultural Studies", develops the concept of interculturality and mediates its grasp by literary science. Lectures illuminate in more detail selected theories and methods of intercultural literary studies. They focus primarily on the question of what intercultural literature enriches contemporary literary scholarship, what new things it brings and where it is heading. In the seminars, students develop their ability to view literary texts from the perspective of intercultural literature through critical analysis of scholarly texts and subsequent discussion of selected aspects of their content. The concept of intercultural literature is integrated into a broader intercultural context.
Student - gain an insight into literary, intercultural theories and methods, - can critically inspect the professional texts of literary science and is able to analyse selected intercultural aspects in the literary work.
