1. Morpheme - definition and classification. 2. Inflection. 3. Classification of word classes. 4. Verb and verb categories. 5. Verbal tense. 6. Verbal voice. 7. Grammatical mood. 8. Modality. 9. Noun and its grammatical categories. 10. Use of articles for nouns. 11. Adjective and its grammatical categories. 12. Adverb. 13. Prepositions. 14. Conjunctions. Particles.

Learning outcomes
In the course, basic terminology and knowledge of the German morphology, morphemes and their classification, as well as selected word classes and their grammatical categories will be learnt. The gained knowledge will then be applied in texts and practiced in exercises for selected phenomena.
Students will learn the morphology of German, morphemes and their classification, selected word classes, and their grammatical categories. They will be able to use basic linguistic terminology, and to apply the gained knowledge in German in their own written and oral expression, and in the analyzed texts.
