Course content
1. Oral expression: presentation and discussion skills for study and work 2. Written expression: argumentative writing, summary, Essay 3. Grammar: nominal and verbal style 4. Working on vocabulary 5. Possible topics for presentations and text assignments: a) Teaching German as a foreign language in the Czech Republic: performance assessment, motivation, digital media, multilingualism, didactics of literature, etc. b) Socially relevant topics: profession, equality, environment, politics, etc.

Learning outcomes
The course builds on the language preparation of the bachelor's study, expands and deepens language competence to the C1 + SERRJ level. Selected teaching materials are used to practice and consolidate all four language competencies. The topics take into account the fields of education, teaching german as a foreign language and the interests of students. The course also practices grammar and professional vocabulary on the example of authentic texts from the field of general and professional language. In the area of written expression, strategies of argumentative writing are trained; in the area of oral expression, students learn to give a presentation with consideration of a target group and precise formal specifications.
Students will expand and deepen their language competence to the level of C1 + SERRJ, strengthen individual language competencies, in the field of written expression they will improve in writing a summary of a text and an essay, in the area of oral expression, students learn to give a presentation with consideration of a target group and precise formal specifications.
