1. Teacher as a (pedagogical) role model 2. Teacher's competence (organizational, professional, social) and his/her role 3. Ways of communication in foreign language teaching 4. Language as a means/tool in foreign language teaching 5. Classroom climate 6. Emotions and cognition in foreign language teaching 7. Age as a factor in the process of learning a foreign language 8. Specifics of foreign language teaching for children and adolescents 9. Teaching materials - types, categorization according to CEFR levels, supplementary materials

Learning outcomes
Students will get acquainted with the current basic topics, questions and problems of contemporary German language didactics.
The student - is familiar with basic didactic categories, - masters basic lingvodidactic terminology, - can combine knowledge of general and subject didactics, - knows valid curricular documents.
