Course content
1. Theoretical introduction to the issue of "Literature and literary (artistic) texts in the process of teaching foreign languages" 2. The position of literature in teaching according to SERR and according to FEP 3. Reading and comprehension as a process and speech behaviour, reading competence 4. Principles and criteria of selection of literary texts 5. Interpretation of literary texts and its real possibilities of use in teaching and learning a foreign language 6. Approaches to the analysis of literary texts from the second half of the 20th century 7. Analysis of teaching files used in teaching German at elementary school in terms of work with literary and artistic texts 8. Analysis of teaching files used in teaching German at high schools and grammar schools in terms of work with literary and artistic texts 9. Didactization of selected lyrical texts 10. Didactization of selected lyrical texts 11. Didactization of selected short prose texts 12. Didactization of selected short prose texts

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop students' ability and skill to work didactically with literary texts in the process of teaching and learning a foreign language. Students work with different types of literary texts and reflect on the possibilities of teaching selected literary texts for a specific target group of pupils / students.
Students are able to combine knowledge and skills acquired in other literary and didactic disciplines and based on that to create their own didactic models of working with text, which they then present in a simulated learning environment.
