Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the development of German short stories after 1945 in terms of the genre characteristics of and its main representatives. Since this course is designed for students of teaching German as a foreign language, texts for class discussion will be selected with regard to their potential for didactical analysis.
The student - masters the basic features and characteristics of a German short story - is well versed in its development after 1945 - can analyze the genre - is able to work with short stories as a teacher in German class at the appropriate level
