Course content
1. Declension of nouns I. 2. Declension of nouns II. 3. Basic rules for the use of articles in nouns. 4. Adjectives and their declension I. 5. Adjectives and their declension II. 6. Pronouns and their declension I. 7. Pronouns and their declension II. Reflexive verbs. 8. Local prepositions. 9. Prepositions of time. Selected prepositions expressing purpose, reason, concession. 10. Word order in declarative, interrogative, and imperative clauses. 11. Subordinate clauses with "dass". 12. Causal clauses. 13. Relative clauses.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to repeat, classify and deepen German grammar phenomena acquired in high school, and expand the skills acquired in Proseminar in Grammar 1. The course will therefore focus on explanation and systematic practice of individual grammar phenomena following Grammar Proseminar 1, and gradually getting students acquainted with linguistic terminology. The aim of the courses Proseminar in Grammar 1 and 2 is not only to improve the students' language competence, but to prepare them for an active participation and a successful passing in linguistic courses taught in the 2nd and 3rd year of the study program.
Following the Proseminar in Grammar I, students will repeat, classify, and deepen their command of German grammar, systematically practice individual grammar phenomena, and gradually become acquainted with relevant linguistic terminology. In this way, they will both improve their language competence and they will get ready for an active participation and a successful passing in linguistic courses taught in the 2nd and 3rd year of the study program.
