Course content

The PhD student is introduced to the basics of the editor's job, which may include the following activities: - checking formal aspects of the text, citation conventions and bibliographic parameters of the field - formatting and internal structuring of the text - preparation of expert opinions and their evaluation - checking the incorporation of comments from peer review into the final text - checking abstracts and keywords - compiling the index of names, etc.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the basics of editorial activities related to the preparation of a professional journal or a professional publication for print.
The PhD student is familiar with the basics of editorial activity, is familiar with the individual steps associated with the preparation of an issue of a professional journal or a professional publication, and is able to apply the formal and citation standards of his/her field to scientific texts.
