Learning outcomes
|
Cultural (or linguistic) animation is a playful motivational method, stimulating interest in the culture, society and language of a neighbouring country. The aim of the seminar is to get acquainted with the theory and practice of cultural animation with a focus on Czech-German cultural reciprocity for (school) youth. During the seminar, students will learn the methodology and on a specific example for specific cultural institutions in the Czech-German border (museum, castle exhibition, cultural or natural monument, etc.) they will learn to create animation materials and programmes, which can be used for example when visiting school groups or some other groups of young adult people in cultural institutions on the Czech-Saxon border.
The student will get acquainted with the theory and practice of language and cultural animation and will learn to prepare and create animation materials usable in teaching German and the preparation of school trips.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students in teams prepare specific materials suitable for being used in language and cultural animation and then they will present these materials in the classroom, in front of their peers.
