Learning outcomes

The main objective of this course the evaluation of the students´ own Continuous Pedagogical Practice at the second stage of primary school and at the secondary school and their ability to look at the process of teaching and learning German critically and in its complexity.
The student is capable of evaluating his own pedagogical practice as well the other students´ instruction, he will be specifically able to reflect on the course of the lesson from the point of view of its structure and that of the fulfilment of educational objectives. He will further propose his own conception of the approach to the selected theme.

Assessment methods and criteria

The learner will introduce both blocks of his/her pedagogical practice (practicum) to the teacher in writing and to his peers in the oral form and in this presentation he will evaluate their course. Further, he will participate in observation lessons at selected secondary schools, elaborate observation records from these lessons and adds his/her own reflection. In the process of teaching he will evaluate observation lessons within a group of students and then introduce his proposals for didactic elaboration of the observed theme.
