Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to help students eliminate their common mistakes. The course will systematically remove the typical mistakes in syntax. The seminar includes a detailed explanation of the kinds of mistakes as well as intense practice of the correct forms which leads to their automatic application. This course is designed for students with advanced knowledge of the German language. Language of instruction - German.
Students will realize and be able to use not only the language transposition, but ,more importantly, will be aware of the pitfalls of language interference, which causes most of their mistakes. Students will gain confidence in creation and usage of complicated syntactic structures. Their speech will also become more confident and correct. At the same time, they will learn how to work with academic linguistic literature.
Prerequisites
Obligatory preceding courses: German morphology German syntax German lexicology Additionally, the students should have sound knowledge of the language layers, so that they could use them in analysis of the stylistic components included in interaction. They should also possess an adequate language competence.
