Course content
Thematic plan of the course is following: 1. Introduction into philosophical and aesthetical thinking 2. Aesthetics as philosophical discipline and system of terms 3. Aesthetic object (time object, heteronomous objectivity) 4. Aesthetics experience 5. Non-interest and aesthetic distance 6. Aesthetic attitude 7. Aesthetic and emotional quality 8. Aesthetic value 9. Beauty and other categories of aesthetics 10. Environmental aesthetics 11. The contemporary Czech aesthetics 12. Aesthetic cognitivism 13. The contemporary art and options of aesthetics

Learning outcomes
The course will introduces the students in detail with aesthetics as philosophical discipline, its main terms, thesis, thoughts, methods and options of interpretation of the art and aesthetic outside the art. It will introduce family silver of this discipline such as in particular aesthetic subject, aesthetic experience, aesthetic quality and aesthetic value and options of aesthetics analysis based on this terms. It will focus mostly on the present form of aesthetics but briefly will introduce to the students as well its development and its state here. Aesthetics will be strictly defined contra other fine arts disciplines and the attention will be drawn to main differences in their methods and the subject of exploration.
A student will gain the overview in main aesthetic theories. He/she will develop the term basis needed for understanding of aesthetic sciences. He/she will be capable of independent argumentation. He/she will develop the ability to understand the texts and discuss and think independently within aesthetics.
