Learning outcomes |
The main goal of the course is to introduce students to anthropological perspective on perception. Theoretically, the course follows up the sensory turn in humanities and provides introduction to various types of perception research in human collectives whose specific natures are related perception and sensitivity. We will discuss different types of perception including their socio-cultural and ecological contexts, sensorial orders (Howes, Classens), and the overall corporeal constitution of shared cultural environments.
