Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the work of a teacher of civics and social sciences at different types of schools and to prepare them for their own teaching practice based on the internship activity. Given the nature and content of the subject, partial innovations have been implemented, which will be aimed at the following: - understanding the situation of the subjects Civics and Basics of Social Sciences in the reality of the current school - understanding the construction of the teaching unit with respect to the content of specific topics of OV and ZSV - establishing contact with the accompanying teacher for further cooperation within the framework of continuous pedagogical practice The subject focuses more on strengthening and developing specific points of the individual competence groups of KRAU: - 1.1.5 - I am oriented in the relationship between the taught subjects and the curriculum at various levels of education - 2.2.1 - I get to know the pupils, their educational needs and the current level of their competences. I consciously work with my own prejudices. - Area 2 - Planning, leading and reflecting on teaching - Area 4 - Feedback and evaluation
Students will gain knowledge about the educational content and activities within civic education and social sciences, the ability to host and reflect on hosted hours. Based on observation activities, students - become familiar with the work of a civics and social studies teacher at various types of schools and prepare for their own pedagogical outputs - deepen their skills in observing, analyzing and reflecting on observed lessons in a specific educational environment - deepen their knowledge of educational goals, educational content and educational activities within OV and ZSV - look at the methodological and didactic mediation of educational goals and educational content of OV and SV and reflect on these observed activities - become familiar with the educational needs of elementary and secondary school students - observe the course of lessons in which the educational process takes place, discuss the possibilities of improving the educational environment when reflecting on practice Competencies developed according to the Competency Framework for Graduate Teachers: 1. Taught subjects and their mediation to students 1.1. I understand the subjects taught and continue to develop in them. 1.2. I didactically convey the content of the subjects taught to students in accordance with their educational needs. 2.2. I recognize the educational needs of students and plan teaching in such a way that it enables each student to actively participate and achieve the set goals. 2.5. I reflect on teaching and evaluate the achievement of the set goals. 5.1. I cooperate with colleagues for the benefit of students and joint professional growth. 6.1. I systematically work on shaping my self-concept as a teacher and on my professional development.
