Learning outcomes

The goal of this subject is to introduce, by means of consultations, to student's proper reading and interpretation of philosophic texts. It allows students to put their own doctoral research into philosophical context. It also encourages students to train themselves in the practice of academic writing. This work will result into writing their own philosophic written (essay).
Students will achieve a solid orientation in philosophic sources close to the topics of their dissertations. Students will be able to formulate their close reading of philosophical texts and situate their interpretation in historico-cultural contexts. Another targeted skill is the ability to justify one's own point of view and originality in academic writing.
