The course entails a several-day foreign excursion under the supervision of academic stagg. The excursion programme includes visits to prestigious museums, historical monuments or archaeological sites. The specific programme depends on the destination and the thematic focus of the excursion.

The course is a platform for the practical dimension of teaching, which, in addition to the theoretical basis, offers students a closer acquaintance with the monuments and artefacts of European culture. The excursion is intended for students who, within their fields of study, focus mainly on the issue of ancient culture and its role in the development of European civilisation. As part of the course, students will take a several-day excursion abroad to a selected Euroepan destination under the supervision of academic staff. The destinations and the thematic focus of the excursion will be varied.
Students will learn about the roots of European culture and will be able to ling the experience gained with the knowledge acquired in theoretical studies. Students will understand the values of ancient cultural heritage and be able to evaluate the philosphical, political, artistic, literary and religious dimensions of ancient culture.
