Learning outcomes
|
The goal is to enable students to reflect through an interactive approach and in English on their relationship to the role of the citizen and to the political system, its basic principles and current issues of the position and role of world democracies in today's world.
After completing the course students will be able to: - identify the concepts of citizen, citizenship from a personal, professional and pedagogical point of view - identify democratic principles and values - know the forms of civic participation - design and implement a project on the topic of civil law - know ways to resolve conflicts and problems - speak in English on topics covered in the fields of political science, political philosophy and citizenship education

Prerequisites

Knowledge of English at least at the high school level.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will choose the topic of the course, then they will write an essay and prepare a presentation of the selected topic. They will present everything at the seminar as well as answer questions and defend their opinions Additional requirements: 70% active participation
