The course is designed as a detailed tutorial reading of the selected text. 1) regular active participation in seminars is required. 2) Students work out a paper in orally presented form in which the work progress from the previous seminar will be reminded.

Learning outcomes
|
Reading important passages of selected philosophical text of Czech provenance. Traditional topics in Czech philosophy (eg. reflections of national identity, history, human rights) will be introduced on the course.
Student will strengthen his/her knowledge of Czech philosophy and interpretative abilities. The acquired skill will also be the ability to use the ideas and concepts of Czech philosophy in their own oral and written expression. Student will also gain the ability to understand the topics of Czech philosophy in a broader historical context.

Previous completing of history of philosophy courses is recommended.
