1. The role of political ideas. 2. Definition of political ideology, its function. 3. Liberalism - origin, basic principles and problems, classical liberalism. 4. Liberalism - modern liberalism and perspectives of liberalism. 5. Socialism - origin, social and economic circumstances. 6. Socialism - typology of socialist directions, basic principles, problems and perspectives. 7. Conservatism - historical circumstances and causes of conservatism. 8. Conservatism - individual directions within conservatism, its basic principles, problems and perspectives. 9. Feminism. 10. Environmentalism. 11. The role of ideologies in modern society. 12. A future without ideologies?

Learning outcomes
|
The course is devoted to the issue of political ideologies. It focuses on the three historically most important ideologies of today, which shape the character of politics (liberalism, conservatism, socialism). In addition, it emphasizes the introduction of newer ideological trends (feminism, environmentalism) and the question of the decline in the meanings of ideologies in today's world. The emphasis is placed not only on the basic ideological principles of individual ideologies, but also on mutual relations and conflicts, as well as on the historical, social and cultural circumstances of their origin.
The student is able to use professional terminology. The student will acquire knowledge of political ideologies, which will enable him to understand current political processes and the possibilities of resolving today's political conflicts. The student will be able to take their own qualified opinions in this area and also formulate them in professional language. The student is able to critically reflect on the political attitudes with which he will be confronted both in academia and in civic life.
