Learning outcomes
|
The goal of this subject is to improve student's skills in the practice of academic research. It explains the main principles of writing and critical evaluation of academic texts. Lectures introduce into the problematic of academic style, including formulation of title, abstract, keywords, content, hypothesis, methodology, critical thinking, using bibliographic references. Seminars invite students to practice acadeic writing according to the given principles.
The subject invites students to practice their skills in critical thinking, which are necessary for successfully preparing their academic proposals and presentations. These skills will be useful in their doctoral studies, especially while writing their articles for scientific journals and book chapters and submitting them to publishers. The subject prepares students for presentation of their own research in academic workshops and conferences.
